\n\t\t\t\tThe Spire\n\t\t\t\t<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\t\t<\/div>\n<\/p>\nThis project proposes three or perhaps four monumental sculptures, with accessible interiors. One outdoor sculpture and one indoor. In architecture, an anaglyph is the name given to certain decorative elements in low relief. In photography, it is a technique that splits the image and creates a sense of depth. It is also a playful word game that the poet and playwright Federico Garc\u00eda Lorca and his friends enjoyed in the 1920s. THE SPIRE The sculpture recreates the spire of the Roman quarry of Clot del M\u00e8dol, in the lands of Tamarit, Tarragona, synthesized and idealized. The hermeticism of the design, and the two small trapezoidal doors, establish a close relationship with some archaic monuments. Like the obelisk, it is a symbol of the sun’s ray. The interior will recreate the stony atmosphere and the exuberant vegetation of the Clot del M\u00e8dol surroundings; the spire will guard within it the secret of the ancient masters, the stonemason’s marks. Visitors will be able to enjoy it as they slowly ascend in a transparent elevator to the terrace that will be located exactly where the original spire has a fracture, also observed throughout the quarry, the result of a Paleolithic earthquake. MEDITERR\u00c0NIA TARRACO AUGUSTA A sculpture created in 1996, whose name implicitly carries its meaning. The column, both masculine and feminine, supports a weathervane in the shape of a Tau (Tau – bird), a symbol of the city of Tarragona, a sign of power related to the bulls of Minoan culture. The wind propels the weathervane, which spins, revealing all its facets, and its movement represents the vital impulse of the territory. Its interior will hold another secret yet to be revealed. KIKI It is a monument to the great mother, a recreation of the < Gran Nana> from 1967 by the French artist Nikki de Saint Phalle, which celebrates archaic feminine divinities. Visitors enter through the hole-portal located behind the head and exit through the pubic opening by sliding down a slide. (They can also exit via stairs located at the back). It is a fun and exciting rebirth. THE SPHINX Recreation of the enigma par excellence, myth of the multiplicity and fragmentation of the cosmos. On its exterior, the decoration of the sides shows us the labyrinth. And its interior contains the universe. The models of the sculptures of < 3 or 4 ANAGLYPHS > are part of the collection of the Museum of Modern Art of the Diputaci\u00f3 de Tarragona. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
