On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Federico García Lorca’s visit to our city, the team behind the illustration fanzine Junkie Python will be responsible for the urban exhibition Display, which they will dedicate to the Grenadian poet, specifically focusing on his lesser-known facet as a draftsman. Regular illustrators of the publication, including artists from across the peninsula and from Camp de Tarragona, will freely reinterpret some of Lorca’s drawings, giving them new life as a testament to the enduring inspiration he provides to contemporary creators. Six years after its first street exhibition, Display will exhibit the eight original panels, which are usually only seen on the streets of the lower part of the city, reproduced at the Old Town Hall of Tarragona, in collaboration with “El Teler de llum”. Walls that speak-. Furthermore, Junkie Python will publish a special fanzine as a compilation and catalog of the collaborations for this very special exhibition. Junkie Python is a self-produced small-format publication edited in Tarragona, featuring collaborations from professional and amateur artists from various places. Each issue proposes a central theme around which each artist contributes their personal point of view. The result is a rich and varied array of works in diverse graphic techniques.
