Exhibition of Visual Poetics
THE VICE-RECTORATE FOR CULTURE AND UNIVERSITY EXTENSION OF MIGUEL HERNÁNDEZ UNIVERSITY OF ELCHE ORGANIZES THE EXPERIMENTAL POETRY EXHIBITION “NOSALTRES ELS FUSTERIANS”, IN HOMAGE TO THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF JOAN FUSTER’S ESSAY “NOSALTRES ELS VALENCIANS”. THE EXHIBITION WILL BE INAUGURATED ON NOVEMBER 15, AT 12:00 PM, IN THE EXHIBITION HALL OF THE RECTORATE AND SOCIAL COUNCIL BUILDING ON THE ELCHE CAMPUS.
The Vice-Rectorate for Culture and University Extension of Miguel Hernández University of Elche has organized the experimental poetics exhibition “Nosaltres els Fusterians”, which will be inaugurated on November 15 at 12:00 PM in the Exhibition Hall of the Rectorate and Social Council Building.
“Nosaltres els Fusterians” aims to be, at the very least, a tribute or a celebration of the 50th anniversary of the publication of “Nosaltres els valencians”, a fundamental text by the essayist Joan Fuster. The 46 artists who have lent us their collaboration, their intuition, and their talent are the following: María Alemany, Francisco Aliseda, Julián Alonso, Juanma Barrado, Manuel Calvarro, Agustín Calvo, Tomás Camacho, José Luis Campal, Xavier Canals, Ángela Caporaso, Josep Castellano, Corporación Semiótica Galega, Gilberto Dobon, Bartomeu Ferrando, Raúl Gálvez, Joaquín Gómez, Ascen González, Fabio Guzmán, Ibírico, Jesús Antonio Jiménez Elvira, Miguel Jiménez, Isabel Jover, Joan Llorens, Martínez Gómez de Albacete, Antoni Miró, Manuel Morales, María Dolores Mulà, Antonio Orihuela, Julia Otxoa, Carmen Peralto, Francisco Peralto, Rafael Peralto, Joan Puche, Sergi Quinyonero, César Reglero, J. Ricart, Jordi Rodríguez-Amat, Josep María Rosselló, Joaquim Sancho, Julián Santos, Javier Seco, Josep Sou, Pere Sousa, Ricardo Ugarte, Silvia Viana y Nelo Vilar.
Joan Fuster’s world is thought, but also an unreserved attitude. Two very principal things. Perhaps the balance between two intensities. Thought illuminates the mirrors of conduct, to establish the fact of humanity. We need poetry, but we need the poet. And everything, and everyone, linked by the audacity of feeling close to the social exercise of necessary commitment. Also freedom. And the images that caress existence.
The exhibition can be visited in the Exhibition Hall of the Rectorate Building on the Elche Campus until January 10, 2013, from 9 AM to 9 PM, Monday to Friday, and Saturdays from 9 AM to 1 PM.
